Grimaud, an icon of Provencal village heritage

Dive into history in the village of Grimaud, in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez

Savour the charm of an authentic Provencal village less than an hour from your favourite seaside campsite!

Flowering lanes and old stone rub shoulders in one of the Var area’s oldest villages.

Fancy exploring the Var, French Riviera-Côte d’Azur and its history while you’re holidaying at our four-star campsite in Hyères? Don’t miss the typical Provencal village of Grimaud – its ancient Château and paved streets promise a mesmerizing voyage back into medieval times!

The former home of the Lords and Counts of Provence, Château de Grimaud, perched on a rocky outcrop gazing over the plain, stands witness to the power of the Gulf of Grimaud – at the gateway to Saint-Tropez – in days gone by.

The village is beautifully adorned with flowers planted by local inhabitants, offering a fabulous show of beds, hanging baskets and bougainvillea throughout the village lanes and neighbouring hamlets, where you can wander to your heart’s content.

Port Grimaud, the Little Venice of the Var, at the heart of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez

Grimaud is also home to Port Grimaud, a spectacular private marina located just 9km from Saint-Tropez. This delightful fisherman’s village swathed in a thousand colours is also an ideal choice for a day at the seaside with all the family. Unless of course you prefer a dip in the heated pools at our family campsite’s water park?
