Holidaying in the South of France in summer also means living alongside annoying insects, i.e. MOSQUITOES!

So here at your four-star campsite Les Jardins de La Pascalinette ®,

we feel it’s our duty to promise you maximum tranquillity!

Installation of 29 mosquito control terminals

We have installed 29 mosquito control terminals throughout the campsite to considerably reduce the discomfort caused by our flying friends! In line with our commitment to environmental protection, we have selected ecological traps that are harmless for humans, animals and the ecosystem. Our traps are designed to catch female mosquitoes as they are the ones that bite, so don’t be surprised if you continue to see mosquitoes around – they won’t bite you, or at least much less than before… The terminals eliminate up to 88% of harmful mosquitoes!

But how do the mosquito control terminals work?

The terminals simulate human presence and in doing so, attracts female mosquitos – only the females bite – and traps them inside the terminal.

The terminals have 3 separate functions:

• The first consists of dispersing recycled carbon dioxide to imitate human breathing, which is irresistibly attractive to female mosquitos,
• The second consists of emanating an olfactory decoy that simulates human body odour,
• And the third consists of capturing the mosquito using suction.

Male mosquitos and other insect varieties (bees, butterflies, ladybirds, etc.) are not attracted by the trap; the terminals therefore have no negative impact on the environment.

No more itchy bites! Our lady mosquitoes will simply have to learn to be friendlier..!
