Your favourite campsite presents: the Monaco oceanographic museum

Located just two hours by car from Camping de La Pascalinette®, Monaco and its oceanographic museum are must-sees if you want to venture a little further afield during your stay.

You know all about our love for the Mediterranean and commitment to an eco-friendly policy designed to protect the Côte d’Azur’s natural environment and the sea. So of course, we absolutely adore the oceanographic museum and its efforts to develop Mediterranean Marine Protected Areas in conjunction with various associations.

Featuring exceptional corals aged over 20 years, conger eels, blacktip sharks, nurse sharks, manta rays and turtles, the museum’s new 450,000-litre aquarium plunges visitors into the magical and majestic world of a lagoon.

A fabulous, larger-than-life insight into underwater life, you’ll find different kinds of algae here, together with clownfish nestling in their anemones, jellyfish, stone fish, puffer fish and razorfish… Poetic and sublime, the aquarium isn’t the museum’s only treasure: several collections (ethnographic, naturalist and artistic) are showcased in the beautiful museum rooms, amid contemporary artwork and ancient or very recent technological innovations.

You can also explore the Turtle Odyssey – an interactive, digital and totally magical new layout.

A fabulous Mediterranean day trip that promises to sharpen your taste for adventure and make you appreciate our land and sea-based natural treasures even more! Another opportunity to discover the wonders of the flora and fauna of the Mediterranean!
