Whether you are a seasoned cyclist seeking a challenge or simple amateur keen to head out for a scenic escapade, the Verdon canyon has something to offer cycle tourers of every age and level.

The “Tour du Verdon” cycling itinerary can be varied according to your personal preferences, but here is a suggested route that will allow you to discover some of the area’s most beautiful sights. Cycle tourers often choose to depart from Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, a charming hilltop village reputed for its pottery and picturesque little lanes. From there, you can head across the Gorges du Verdon (Verdon Canyon), making the most of the stunning views over the canyon’s limestone cliffs and the sparkling river below.

Cyclists are therefore recommended to ensure they are in good physical shape before setting out, and fitted with all the proper equipment. Please ensure too that you drink plenty of water and protect your skin from the sun’s rays throughout (a bit like when you’re relaxing at the poolside at the campsite’s water park! ;)).
