The port of La Londe-les-Maures is an ideal playground for holidaymakers with bikes keen to enjoy an alluring combo of Mediterranean shores, practicality and discovery.
Easily accessible from our 4-star campsite Les Jardins de La Pascalinette, this little Coin de Paradis® (Corner of Paradise) is a smart choice if you’re seeking an easy and pleasant excursion dotted with scenic stop-offs. The quaysides, where yachts and pleasure boats offer up a typical Var seascape, are situated just 15 minutes (4 km) from the campsite. Stunning vistas over the Mediterranean Sea open the show, making this a truly breathtaking little tour.

Head to the beaches by bike
The port of La Londe enjoys an ideal central location between two beaches easily accessible by bike: l’Argentière to the east and Miramar to the west. From the port, it only takes a few minutes to reach either beach along the cycle path running alongside the sea. The route is flat, accessible and dotted with viewpoints over the Golden Islands, meaning you can alternate pedalling, bathing and a stroll along the port!
How about a jaunt to the Golden Islands?
If you fancy making a day of it, the port is also the departure point for the boat bus serving the sublime islands of Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Le Levant. You can climb aboard with your bikes (or hire them on arrival), for a peaceful adventure in the wilderness of these three magnificent islands. Remember to bring along a hat and suncream of course. And if you’re craving an ice cream when you get back, you’ll find just the thing on the port of La Londe!
On the practical front: port services
Essential for bike riders: bicycle parking areas. Several dedicated areas allow you to attach your bike in all safety, in particular along the main promenade and adjacent to the tourist office. The areas are easy to locate, so you won’t need to waste time finding somewhere to leave your bike before you have lunch or set out for a stroll.
On the food front, the port offers a great choice of eateries with terraces overlooking the Big Blue – perfect for a delicious lunch steeped in seaside scents. The restaurants lining the port serve Mediterranean cuisine made with fresh, local produce. You’ll also find a few snack bars and ice cream parlours if you just want a quick bite. And if picnics are your cycling team’s thing, several benches and shaded areas allow you to sit down and eat while lapping up the scenery!
