Le Lavandou, Cap Nègre beach

Sand and shingle – gentle slope – South-East facing – No dogs allowed (in summer)

Succumb to the temptation of this rare gem situated around 23 km from the campsite (35 mins by car, 1.5 hours by bike) in Le Lavandou, where the Mediterranean unveils all its beauty in a wild and preserved seascape. Nestling next to the majestic cliff of Cape Nègre and its luxuriant vegetation, this sandy and shingle beach offers an idyllic setting if you’re looking for a change from the decks of our magnificent pools!
A short descent on foot leads you to this haven of peace. Access is relatively easy, although unsuitable for people with reduced mobility. You won’t find any crowds or fancy amenities here, but we love this beach’s authenticity and peaceful atmosphere.

You can reach this beautifully-preserved beach on the coastal footpath. Please note that you won’t find any commodities there, i.e. no showers and no toilets.

A few pines and tamarix provide natural shade – a rarity in the peak season. The beach’s gentle slope and translucent waters make it very safe and a genuine enchantment for families with children. However, please remain vigilant as the beach is unsupervised.

Dogs are only allowed there outside summer and must be kept on a leash.

Whether you’re visiting with family or friends, revel in the charm of this delightful insider’s address, where azure-blue waters mingle with green pines.

Easy to reach from the campsite (D98 then D559 towards Le Lavandou), Plage du Cap Nègre offers a few free parking spaces along the road, near the path leading to the beach.
