We absolutely had to tell you all about Pointe du Pellegrin Bormes-les-Mimosas! This beautiful cove is a genuine haven of tranquillity, ideal for a peaceful getaway at the water’s edge while you’re holidaying in the Var area, French Riviera-Côte d’Azur.
Pointe du Pellegrin: a peaceful gem in an intimate setting
Yearning for a moment out of time, cradled by the sound of lapping waves caressing the shore? Pointe du Pellegrin, part of the town of Bormes-les-Mimosas, is a natural little gem forming part of the Var area’s coastline that promises to delight sea and authenticity lovers.

Tucked away between Plage du Pellegrin and Brégançon Fort, the wild and beautiful Pointe du Pellegrin has always been one of our favourite spots. Its crystal-clear waters and pine trees form a genuine masterpiece of Mediterranean scenery.
Although the cove has attracted more people in recent years and is best enjoyed outside the summer months or early in the morning, it remains off the beaten track and a haven of relaxation, nature and azure waters.
Why choose this beach during your holiday?
- For its tranquillity: far from the madding crowds, it is the perfect place to lie back and enjoy the radiant sunshine.
- For its preserved setting: the cove is situated in a protected area, promising nature lovers an unspoiled environment.
- For its islet: a refuge for marine plant and animals life, home to sea urchins, many fish species (grouper, triggerfish, white seabream, wrasse and more), little octopuses, crabs and even starfish if you’re lucky!
Not to mention our famous Posidonia meadows and sea sponges… The pine wood surrounding the cove and the islet’s tranquil environment also attract seagulls and gannets.

- For its easy access: Located between Le Lavandou and Hyères, the cove can be accessed by car, but the little footpath running through the vines adds to the charm of the excursion.
💡 Extra tip courtesy of your favourite campsite (for early risers): grab a thermos filled with tea or coffee and some delicious fresh croissants from the campsite shop and you are primed and ready for a breakfast to remember at the water’s edge, in the early hours when the crowds are still far away and dreaming…
